MJOC have been affiliated with Four Wheel Drive Victoria since 1997.

Four Wheel Drive Victoria is the umbrella body for affiliated four wheel drive clubs in Victoria, and represents the interests of all recreational four wheel drivers in the state. It is presently made up of over 94 clubs which in turn have a membership totaling over 13,000 members representing four wheel drive enthusiasts and their families

What They Do For Us

Four Wheel Drive Victoria continues to develop strong relationships with the government and its land managers and has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the state government, Parks Victoria and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) to ensure effective consultation and involvement in track access and maintenance issues and Four Wheel Drive Victoria must be consulted in these matters.

This has created a much stronger working relationship with land managers and rangers.

Victorian High Country Huts Association

MJOC is a member of the Victorian High Country Huts Association and supports them with continued maintenance activities including maintenanv=ce work on Keppels Hut, 15 Mile Hut and Ryans Spurr hut.

The Huts Association is a volunteer group dedicated to the conservation, maintenance and rebuilding of bush huts in the High Country areas of Victoria.

About Us

Our Association was founded in February 2003 in response to the bushfires which swept through the Victorian High Country from January 8th 2003. We can thank historian Dianne Carroll and author Fiona Magnussen for the spark that grew, as rapidly as the bushfires, into our Association.

In our first ten years we worked on many great projects.

We are Volunteers

The Huts Association Huts Maintenance Officers, Huts Maintenance Coordinator and the Committee members are all volunteers who give willingly of their time and skills to make the Associations work and to repair and maintain our high country huts.

If you can assist in any way, by donation, hands on work, becoming a member, contributing to our knowledge of the history of our huts, specialist skills then we would love to hear from you

EDescription of Business: Events and activities of Four Wheel Drive Victoria that have been approved as Four Wheel Drive Victoria and/or Club Activities, including but not limited to community volunteer work, training days, events, four wheel drive trips, attendance at and participation in trade shows, expos and club association meetings and events.

Insured: Four Wheel Drive Victoria and its affiliated Clubs and Members. 😀

Limit of Liability: Public Liability $20,000,000

Products Liability $20,000,000

Property in Physical or Legal $ 250,000 Control of the Insured

Deductible: $500 each and every claim Liberty International Underwriters.

Insurer: Liberty International Underwriters.

This policy is designed to protect FWDV and its Affiliated Clubs by responding to claims for compensation made against it for negligence causing bodily injury and/or property damage, for which FWDV and its Affiliated Clubs are legally liable, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy.

Any person, including a member, has the right to make a claim against the policy if they are injured or have suffered damage to their property at a FWDV/Affiliated Club approved event, provided that the injury or damage to property is the result of FWDV and/or its Affiliated Clubs' negligence. This includes bodily injury or damage to property caused by another member of FWDV and/or its Affiliated Clubs.
